Astro, Amazon’s conversational household companion robot, took a major step forward with new GenAI integration, enabling it to monitor, move through the home, and proactively help. Because the story is inherently future-forward, the creative needed to make the innovation feel clear, approachable, and premium. As both Art Director and Visual Designer, I shaped the creative vision and designed the visual system for the detail page, defining the look, tone, and storytelling approach across key assets to bring Astro’s next-generation capabilities to life.
We framed Astro as a smart home sidekick for early adopters, grounded in the idea, “Every hero needs a sidekick.” The story came to life through photo and video in modern homes, using real moments and environments to make Astro’s personality, mobility, and proactive support feel tangible.
As Art Director, I guided the detail page’s storytelling and customer journey, elevating the experience from the previous version, aligning to updated brand guidelines, and pushing toward a more modern, premium expression. As Visual Designer, I translated that direction into the page design end-to-end, refining hierarchy, layout rhythm, and module structure so the photography and video stay central while the story lands clearly.
